Open air concert
The initial idea came when I heard and saw him run his fingers over the keys for the first time. Then when the assignment came to organize a concert in Belassi Garden, we made a sure bet. It was clear from the outset that capacity would be insufficient and the predictions have come true. The 3 times increased pre-sale of tickets was proof that Jozef Hollý is an excellent choice.
The approach, the first on-site meeting, the questions and queries, whether he will agree and whether we can meet the required conditions. At Easter it was successful. We got the green light and started preparations. With the help of the Ministry of Transport, which represents tourism in Slovakia, we have prepared, as in previous years, another of a series of concerts of Music Under the Walls in our region under the auspices of the Regional Tourism Organization Horná Nitra Bojnice.

And so to us on the 23rd. July, the piano virtuoso Jozef Hollý visited us, who with his timeless piano show, this time presented in the form of an open air concert in our hotel garden, stirred up the whole audience. The weather was fickle and during the preparations something fell down, but we didn’t let the amazing evening atmosphere full of incredible energy be spoiled. The attendance of 210 modern piano music enthusiasts was beyond our expectations, and if it weren’t for the effort to make sure everyone was comfortable, we could have fit more. Jozef Hollý has more than enough fans and they travel to him from all over Slovakia. They also came to Bojnice from all corners and directions and we are glad that they liked it and we have expanded their repertoire of nice places.
After the opening welcome drink, the concert of Jozef Hollý and his band continued, followed by an autograph session, a photo session with the star of the evening and a small buffet at the end in the hotel restaurant.
Thank you to the performers for the excellent programme, to all participants for the great atmosphere and to the organisers for their helpfulness and co-operation. We are looking forward to another wonderful concert next year, and you will hear more about it in due course. In the meantime, however, we will certainly organize a number of interesting events that you should not miss.
